Experienced ethics counsel for when your legal reputation is at risk

In matters where your legal reputation is on the line, you need seasoned counsel that you can trust. At Burns White, our Ethics Group has more than 20 years of experience representing and advising attorneys facing disciplinary action and ethics issues. Whether you have received a DB-7 violation or find yourself in an ethical dilemma, our team can assist with a wide range of matters affecting your licensure.

Thorough and efficient, we work quickly, and with the utmost care and sensitivity, to understand and address each issue to help achieve a favorable resolution at the earliest stage. In addition, our attorneys also handle attorney licensure reinstatements and informal consultations involving ethical dilemmas or professional errors. And we can help, whether a client has disciplinary insurance coverage or not.

Led by James R. Schadel, the Ethics Group has been assisting attorneys and other professionals with various stages of disciplinary counsel before the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security, as well as ethical matters and malpractice claims, since the 1980s. An active member of the ethics community, Mr. Schadel recently served on a Pennsylvania Supreme Court committee that examined the current rules governing judicial conduct and ethics, and currently serves on the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations’ Ethics Committees. In addition, Mr. Schadel is a frequently requested speaker on legal malpractice avoidance, lawyer ethics, and risk management by various bar associations and legal organizations.

When your reputation is at stake, the attorneys at Burns White will work tirelessly to protect what you have achieved.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#cbb777″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
